Working abroad

I think I am getting to that age now that work culture has become more and more apparent to me. Working in the United States is interesting in that whether you improve or feel comfortable at work is kind of down to the luck of the draw and how well we you sell yourself . Being unable to sell yourself is usually a death mark. In that aspect the economy rewards ambition. On another hand it is just as cruel. Work is individualized as what your work is that is your responsibility and if you do poorly there no one will be willing to help or teach you. It kinda expected in companies to be able to work a portion of work on your own. Results matter most

Japan is different. It is like choosing a seniority group. Unlike such a group it is going to dictate your next 20-30 years. Once you go in there is little you can do to go elsewhere. If you did well and choose well and get a job you like, you will feel safe for the a good portion of your life. Otherwise it may mean hell for  the foreseeable future. That is why so much emphasis is place before when reach that point. Work is also different in that are norms as to how you’re expected to work and as well as how to conduct oneself . Because of that there is lack of drive to go and change a system.
